To tell the history of Four Winds Policedog Center, we need to go back to the year 1991. At that time Tonnie Boeijen was already training for 15 years with dogs at the KNPV Club in Geffen, (Royal Dutch Policedog Association). He got the possibility to sell his dog to a German police officer, Heinz Küne. After that he came in contact with Gerry and Nancy Lapham from Sentinel K-9, North Carolina in the United States of America, who was looking for quality dual or single purpose policedogs. Tonnie went to the United States and business began! Gerry and Nancy Lapham helped us very much making Four Winds Policedog Center successful. Business grew so hard that Tonnie decided to start a company specialized in the training of police dogs. At first he had a few kennels at home, but the dogs made to much noise in the centre of Geffen and because the business was going better, the location became too small. In 1996 they began to build a splendid, new kennel on the outskirts. Here are all the facilities present to give the dogs ultimate care and give them an excellent training. The maximum capacity of the kennels is a total of 55 dogs. Outside the kennel is a big training field present, were the dogs can be trained. Also on our second floor is an inside training room with all facilities in it. In 1993 Four Winds became a Partnership under Firm. Since 2000, the daughter of Tonnie, Linda also has a share in the company. Linda is furthermore every day present for the care and the training of the dogs and takes care of the administration. Jeannette van Rosmalen was at first trainee at Four Winds and started to work with us full-time in 1999. Besides Jeannette we have part-time employees Arno Schuurmans(since 1994) and Ramon Guerain (since 2003), who work at Four Winds as a trainer and decoy. In all these years Four Winds has grown to an international known company that sells dogs all over the world to different government agencies. Four Winds is known for the excellent quality dogs and training all over the world. |
